CHECK-IN

Ensemble and Adjudicator Check-in will be located in the cafeteria. We will distribute wrist bands to students and directors which will also serve as your ticket to the headliner concert.

PARKING 

Bus Parking will be in front of Cascade High School in the designated bus parking areas. Bus parking is conveniently located imidiatly adjacent the performance facility

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

All equipment is high quality and will suit your groups well. We have a very tight schedule, and we are requiring you to use the gear provided. Most Warm Up rooms will have music stands, a drum set, a piano and amps.

Our performance venue will have: 

  • Piano (acoustic or digital w/ amp)

  • drum set, cymbal stands, and hi-hat stand w/clutch. 

  • Bass amp

  • Guitar amp

  • Vibraphone

  • 25 music stands in all performance

  • Several solo mics

EQUIPMENT NOT PROVIDED

  • AUX PERCUSSION

  • CABLES FOR BASS AND GUITAR

  • CYMBALS (including hi-hats)

To ensure our event runs timely, please let us know in advance if you will have unique stage plots or non-standard equipment needs. Otherwise, we ask all groups to use the provided equipment, exceptions being snare drum and bass drum pedal.

TIME LIMITS

You will have 20 minutes to warmup in a separate warmup space. You will then have 20 minutes to perform on the auditorium stage. You performance will be in front of at least 2 adjudicators, other students and the general public. You must begin exciting the stage at the 20-minute mark. You will then move to a separate room for a 40 minute clinic and adjudication. any time over or under your 20 miniute performance window will be taken or added to your clinic time, respectively.

PERFORMANCE INFO

Treat the performance like you would a concert at your school, as opposed to a concert band festival. You do not need to wait for the judges in between songs, and you do not need to provide conductor scores for the judges. Once your band is announced, you control the flow of the set. When you are ready to move on to the next song, please do so. The judges will most definitely be ready.

ADMISSION

Your entry fee includes admission to the headliner concert for student that performed, the director and an assistant director and one chaperone. The Friday Night Swing dance is also included for any student under 18 years of age. All others must purchase a ticket

FOOD

We will be posting information about food option, particularly take-out lunch. the Master Classes and lunch will happen at the same time, so we recommend that you either pack a lunch, or use one of our preorder food options.

T-SHIRTS

We will have T-Shirts for sale. They will be available at various location throughout the event.

HOSPITALITY

Director Hospitality will be located in the Staff Lounge. Grab a bite and relax with your colleagues.

AWARDS

Recognition will be given for outstanding performances by bands and soloists. This is a competitive learning event and there will not be band rankings.

Our theater seats 420 people. Please no “saving seats.” We depend on tickets sales to fund our programs and are hoping for a full house!!
