Indoor seating limitations and growing pains

Our policy of providing free access to students and youth aged 18 and under has been a resounding success. However, we have created a logistical challenge due to limited seating at the Snowy Owl Theater. With a capacity limited to 230 people, we anticipate that the facility may not be able to accommodate all guests.

To address this issue, we are working to implement a big-screen simulcast on the covered patio outside the concert hall. This setup will allow us to accommodate any overflow while ensuring everyone can enjoy the music in a comfortable environment. We are committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to experience the magic of live jazz performances.

In order to manage seating, we have devised the following seating priority order:

1. Paid Ticket Holders and Accompanying Youth/Students: Paid ticket holders will have first seating priority inside the Snowy Owl.  Each paid ticket holder may be accompanied by up to two family-related youth or students.

2. Complimentary Ticket Holders and Accompanying Youth/Students: Second priority will be given to complementary tickets holders.  Each complementary ticket holder can be accompanied by up to two family-related youth or students.

3. Students Who Performed at Jazz Clinics: Students who have participated in jazz clinics and performed with a band will be given third priority seating inside the theater.

4. Remaining Students and Youth: All remaining students and youth will be accommodated inside the theater as space allows and, along with other guests, will have full access to the outdoor simulcast area.

We're confident that this plan will allow us to accommodate all guests while maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone involved.  Please remember that there will be ample space available in the Meadow Field for the daytime performances and in the Festhalle for the Friday night swing dance.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We're committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to experience the magic of live jazz performances.
